We are pleased to announce that 2 Komarek students took 1st and 3rd place at the Brookfield Science Fair held at the Zoo andsponsored by BP. Many local districts participated in the fair and Komarek came out winning 2 of the 3 spots in the 6th grade competition! The winners were:

1st-Eric Watson

3rd-Connor Woodward

Congratulations to all students who participated. We are extremely proud of your efforts!

Monday night, the 8th grade boys volleyball team faced Gross in another great match up. Really coming together and keeping up the intensity the wildcats lost the first game 23-25. Coach Banas cannot be more proud of her wildcats as they battled their way to a 25-17 victory in the second game, forcing the match to go to a third game.

We gave it our all trying to be adjusted to a new rotation but just could not finish with a win this time. We keep improving with every match and we look forward to facing Lindop on Wednesday!

The State of Illinois Board of Education (ISBE) has once again put together the 5-Essentials Survey for students, parents, and Komarek staff to take. This survey was offered last year as part of ISBE's to gather information about school districts in Illinois. It allows participants to respond to questions about the strengths and weaknesses their schools and school district and education in general. Again, we strongly encourage parents to participate in this survey.

We thank you in advance for your participation.
