Data and Assessments

Students are assessed various times throughout the school year through the use of different assessment tools. These may include classroom-based, district and state assessments, all of which are utilized to assist teachers in making instructional decisions for individual students in the classroom. Assessment reports are shared with families once testing windows are completed. More information related to specific assessments can be accessed utilizing the tabs on the left.

Student Instructional Supports

A major focus for parents/guardians, as well as teachers, is how to help children who experience difficulty in school at the earliest possible display of need. Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) is a multi-step approach to providing services and interventions to struggling learners at increasing levels of intensity. Classroom teachers, as well as support service staff provide this support. In some instances, it is necessary to increase the level of intervention to ensure that the student receives every possible opportunity to improve their skill development in given areas. Based upon data collected and teacher recommendations, students may receive additional support with specific academic or social-emotional skills.

Common Core State Standards and Curricula

District 94 scholars work toward mastery of the Common Core State Standards which will prepare them to enter college and careers. The standards establish consistent and clear guidelines for what students should know and be able to do in English language arts (ELA) and mathematics from Kindergarten-12th grade. Additional information by grade level can be accessed using the tabs on the left.
