Komarek Preschool

Komarek School District offers an inclusive, high-quality preschool experience with research-based curriculum to resident students through the Preschool for All grant. This grant means that Komarek School is able to offer half-day preschool for 3- and 4-year old students, at no cost to parents. View more information on Preschool for All. If you are interested in your child attending Komarek Preschool, the first step is to attend a Preschool Screening.

Preschool Screening

Komarek School hosts Preschool Screening for many purposes. During Preschool Screening the team utilizes a standard assessment designed to give a current picture of your child's skills in the areas of communication, cognition, social-emotional, and motor development. The team utilizes this assessment to determine whether your child's development is on track or may be delayed. While attending Preschool Screening is the first step towards your child obtaining a spot in Komarek Preschool, it is also our way of identifying preschool-age students who may require additional instruction or support for developmental skills. Should the team have concerns about your child's development, further evaluation of your child will be discussed after screening.

Preschool Screening is generally held three times yearly (fall, winter, spring), and an appointment is required. Please submit the Preschool Screening Interest Form if you would like your child to attend an upcoming screening. To attend Preschool Screening, children must be at least 2 years, 6 months old at the time of screening.
